How do you fix a vapor lock on a 2004 Mazda rx8?

The same way as with almost any car: hold the "gas" pedal all the way to the floor for 10 seconds while cranking the engine, then release the pedal and start it normally. (Source: owner's manual)

Or, you could trade it for a newer one that doesn't have this problem.
