How to check for delamination in honeycomb structures?

A quick test is the Quarter tap. Take a quarter and tap it on the surface and listen for diffference in sound. This isn't proof positive but it helps detect some possible delamination problems.

Aircraft manufactures use a very similar technique but it is ultrasonic water jet or an ultra-sound probe. These "listen" for voids under the skin.
