What is American showcase jewelry?

I bought American Showcase jewelry about 15 years from a coupon that was in a package similar to the Value Coupons packet's. It was very cheap but was I 15 years old and wanted matching sets of necklaces and bracelets. I do not recall exactly how much I paid for it but being 15 I would imagine not that much. I am not sure if this is even gold plated jewelry. The 2.5 sets that I have left of the 3 are in great shape.
