How are chestnuts grown?

Chestnuts are grown from seeds or grafted trees, typically in well-drained, acidic soils. The trees thrive in temperate climates with adequate rainfall and require full sun for optimal growth. After planting, it takes several years for chestnut trees to mature and produce nuts, usually around 3 to 5 years for some varieties.
