What is the different between college application and job application?

A college application is submitted to universities or colleges where you desire to study. They would most importantly review your educational background.

A job application is more comprehensive. It's the application you submit to companies to land a job. It's more comprehensive in a sense that it does not only include your educational background but also your work history, family background, personality, experiences, etc.
