The best way I have found is to mix

-2 part cornstarch

-1 part liquid glue (really any kind works)

(example: 2 cup cornstarch and 1 cup glue

In a cup or zip lock bag mix the two ingredients. For this step I recommend that you use a plastic spoon or toothpick. At first the mix will be powdery and dry. To combine together into a clay I recommend you take the mixture out of the cup or bag and place it on a sheet of wax paper, and mix it with your hands. If needed you can were gloves. If you clay is sticky add more cornstarch. If it is dry, powdery, or even crumbling add more glue or give it a light mist or water.

If you with to add color to your clay you can either add a little bit of acrylic paint to the liquid glue, or my preferred method is to color on the clay with a washable marker and kneed the clay until it turns that color.

When playing with your model magic I recommend you have a sheet of wax paper underneath it. Sometimes I even will put some cornstarch on the wax paper. If you wish to dry your creation ALWAYS let it dry on wax paper because the glue may stick to you surface and dry there. Also the clash normally takes overnight to dry, but it depends on the size of your item.

Overall the clay has the same texture in the clay stage. It is soft and squishy, plus lightweight! The only difference is that it dries harder than model magic, more like polymer clay. I hope this helps you find the perfect recipe.
