What does it mean when your enemies want to befriend your friends?

When you have piers that you do not necessarily get along with and they are trying to become friends with your friends in my opinion they are up to no good. I had a situation like this one where I did not get along with two of my piers at school and we where not on speaking terms and my other friends knew that but still talked to them and I realized they are 1 not good friends and 2 the girls trying to take my friends had no friends and had to talk to my friends to kind of cling on to me in a way. I hope that makes sense and helps. Unfortunately there are malicious people out there who have no mercy and in times like those you can only trust family:) good luck we all go through it.
