Is the sense of touch more important for the blind or deaf?

Not so much for the deaf, the deaf may feel a speaker on a stereo to get a the seance of rhythm but past that I cant see many differences. For the blind however it is vital for their mobility whether or not a cane is used as for a sense of bearing with out it it would be near impossible for them to get around.
