Who does the hunting in the tiger family?

Unlike lions, who live in family prides, tigers lead a solitary life. A female tiger will raise her young and hunt for herself and her cubs. A male tiger will roam over a large territory and mate when meeting a female in season. Afterwards moving on and taking no part in the raising of the offspring.
