There are both legal and illegal ways to watch live football on a computer. Many networks such as NBC and FOX often times will live broadcast a select game or two online any given week. Just go to their websites to take a look at the schedule and see what games are available. There are also a number of websites where you can find a live stream of the game. These options are often times not legal and have pretty poor video/audio quality.
