Most Opera singers have a working knowledge of several languages since they usually have to sing in the language the opera was written in and be able to understand the Words enough to express the meaning - they also have to travel a lot and work with singers whose native languages are not their own. However some were raised bilingual like Roberto Alagna who has Italian parents but grew up in France.
