How do you change the brake pads on a 1996 mercury cougar?

Lift the car on a jack, remove the tire and set aside, remove the brake shoe/caliper and remove the old brake pad. Next put in the new brake pads, put the brake shoe/caliper in its place, put the tire back on the car and lower the car to the ground.
