Is the crane and heron the same bird?

Cranes are more omnivorous,they tend to live away from water more than herons, and fly with neck extended. Blue herons are nearly always found around water, and are totally carnivorous, feeding mainly on fish and other aquatic life. They usually fly with their neck and head drawn back on shoulders.
