Do Build-A-Bear clothes fit American Girl Dolls?

Some things like hats might fit okay, but generally Build-A-Bear clothes won't fit: For example, American Girl Dolls have longer legs than the Build-A-Bear stuffed animals.

Another option is to make the Build-A-Bear clothes fit an AG Doll, by sewing them. If you choose this approach, be selective when choosing Build-A-Bear outfits for your American girl doll.

Elastic Waists, skirts and sleeve-less tops can be easily modified with a sewing machine or hand sewing. *If you don't know how to sew, then Stitch Witchery and iron on Velcro will do the conversion trick.*

As far as accessories etc, BAB sells a doll stand for $4. This is much cheaper than AG. BAB's small pre-stuffed animals at $5 an animal, can give your AG friend a pet and save you $15. BAB backpacks and purses will make a nice addition to your Dolls wardrobe, as well.
