On all regions along its shores. Mexico has shores on the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. Fisheries along these three bodies of water can be considered a natural resource for Mexico, as it ranks as the 17th largest in terms of fish catch with 1,304,830 tons for 2005; it also has a moderately developed aquaculture industry, with a production of 117,514 tons during that same year, ranking as the 24th largest producer.
