Born Felix Fausto in Singalong Manila, Fanny, as he is fondly called by friends, has always had the passion for making others beautiful. Even at a young age, his talent for fashion has already been apparent.

He recalls how he would spend hours sketching and deisgning clothes instead of studying. Like many other hard knockstories, Fanny had to work early to help out his family, becoming an apprentice and "shop boy" at Aure's, a local salon in Paco, Manila.

Fanny discloses he got his first big break when he was handpicked by Celia Rodriguez, a well-known character actress to do her make-up for one of her events-which gave the budding makeup artist the opportunity to show his innate talent.

He started out When Alex Muhlach, lent him 85,000 as capital and offered him a unit at the El Niño Apartelle in Quezon City to put up his salon.He has also ventured into other kinds of business and has established his own makeup line called Fanny Serrano Cosmetics and his own clothing line called Fanny Serrano Couture. Not many knows that Fanny is also into the manufacture of healthy drinks with various flavor such as Coffee, Choco Milk, Green Iced Tea and Mangosteen.
