What did the assembly line lead to?

the assembly line led to a new fast and efficent way of manafacturing, although it does have a few cons, such as uniqueness in design, and the lack of quality handcrafted products, that came out of workshops.

This may not be a very great awnser and will probably need to be improved, but those are the basics.
