Do seahorses live in Ionian sea?

I saw a seahorse in Paleokastrista, Corfu this year! I couldn't beilieve my eyes! It was happily swimmiing about in Grotta Bay along with all the swimmers, boaters, divers etc! I have yet to find out if this is a common thing...
