What do you think about surveillance technologies?

i think its a good way to make sure nothing happens out of plan. like for instance,stores have surveillance cameras to make sure if someone steals something they can get a better idea of what the person looked like. also, if a shooting takes place, it helps the cops understand exactly what happened.
