Can the new 80 gb PS3 play ps2 games by connecting a ntsc to pal converter?

- There are two 80gb PS3 models.

- The original model has 4 usb slots - this can play PS2 games.

- The new model has 2 usb slots - this cannot play PS2 games

- Reason why new model cannot play PS2 games is that the emotion chip has been removed to reduce production costs
