What is the pericardial attached to?

The pericardium is a double-walled sac that surrounds the heart, consisting of an outer fibrous layer and an inner serous layer. It is attached to the diaphragm at its base and to the great vessels of the heart, such as the aorta and pulmonary arteries, at its superior aspect.
