How do you prevent misuse of electricity?

The children from their childhood are to be taught how precious electrity is in our daily life and its misuse will be a crime against the society and country as a whole. Switching off the AC, fan, lamps while nobody is in the room,should become a regular habit. Use of LED lamps,to save electricity is a whole wide phenomena as producing electricity by burning coal has its limit because ot is exhaustion after a century. Loss of electricity during transmission is a matter of great concern and can be minimised with utmost care and use of latest technology. Power theft by way of hooking is rampant in India, which deprieves genuine consumers from availing electricity in remote villages.
