  1. Having a class pet can teach responsibility to the students and the students will have team work to keep the pet alive.
  • No. pets make too much of a mess. the students also forget to clean the pets cage or feed the pet and it can die.
  • Yes if they would like the class to have responsibility's.
  • In most cases the reasons that schools have class pets is to encourage responsibility in students. Having to look after a pet at school encourages students to care for animals. This is especially important to children who may not be able to have pets at home and get a chance to see and look after a pet. Otherwise a class pet is just a source of happiness in the classroom.
  • No. Too much noise, too many people, and just too hard to keep pets happy and fed. Years ago I saved a kitten from the school yard from some boys and she stayed in my room for a few days. She would walk around a rub against the kids, sit on their desks, and get petted. It worked out pretty well, but the kids really took care of her. They brought cat food and would bring milk from lunch and took shifts in walking her so she could go outside since we didn't have a cat box. This took a lot of effort on everyone part to keep her well. I also once took my Scottie to class and it was not a good trip for him. He got scared of all the hands and kids. I was afraid he would get sick from it. So, in all it is not good for the animal to go to school.
