Ringworm infection is a very common skin infection which is caused by a fungus. This fungus grows and spreads along the outer layer of the skin and is more frequently observed around the stomach and lower part of the abdomen, under the armpits, between the thighs and around the groin. So yes it can get INSIDE your stomach.

Hope it helps!
