The biggest Iguanodon species is believed to be Iguanodon bernissartensis, which could reach lengths of up to 10 meters (33 feet) and weigh around 3 to 5 tons. This herbivorous dinosaur roamed during the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous periods. Its distinctive thumb spikes and robust body structure made it one of the more recognizable dinosaurs of its time. Fossils have been found primarily in Europe, particularly in Belgium.
