Park the car on a level surface. Drain all the oil out, and remove the old filter. Install a new filter and pour in 4 quarts of oil. Start the engine and let run for 1 minute. Shut off engine and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level and add oil until full. You now know the capacity.
