Black toothed whales

Black toothed whales, commonly known as the short-finned pilot whale (Globicephala macrorhynchus), are medium-sized cetaceans found in warm, temperate, and tropical waters worldwide. They are characterized by their robust bodies, distinctive black coloration, and a prominent bulbous forehead. Social animals, they often travel in groups called pods and are known for their complex social structures and vocalizations. Unfortunately, they face threats from habitat loss, fishing bycatch, and climate change.
