What is the life cycle for a vaquita?

The vaquita, a critically endangered porpoise species, has a life cycle that typically spans 20 to 30 years. They reach sexual maturity around 3 to 6 years of age and generally give birth to a single calf every two to three years after a gestation period of about 10 to 11 months. Vaquitas inhabit the northern part of the Gulf of California and rely on a diet of fish and invertebrates. Due to threats like bycatch in illegal fishing nets, their population has drastically declined, making conservation efforts crucial for their survival.
