Is there a way to trap ants with out killing them?

yes, there is a way.

1. get a jar with a lid

2. put soil in the jar

3. put some sugar on top of the soil

4. put the jar near any ant colony

5. come back and check the jar later

6. if you caught any ants quickly screw the lid onto the jar
