Can only 2 humans repopulate the world?

Two humans could never repopulate because the avg. woman could only have roughly 9 to 12 babies per lifetime. Unless that woman would be implanted by a scientist she would still only have maybe 20 or 25 but she would die before they were even at reproduction age.
