What are reasons why animal experimentation is dangerous?

It is wrong to experiment on animals because, it hurts the animals and can turn them into mutants or kill them. Also, mutated animals have been washing up on the Panama Canal. On YouTube.com there are videos about it and it shows the pictures...very horrifying!
