Can you describe Annemarie in the book Number the Stars?

I have read number the stars, so incase people have never read it before, Annemarie Johanson is a blonde, short-haired 10-year-old danish girl becomes 12 at the last chapter. Basiclly the story is about testing Annemarie's bravery to help her best friend, Ellen Rosen who is jewish safely but every where they turn Nazi soldiers are around. The story also includes characters like Annemarie's chatty sister, Kirsti who gets them into a lot of trouble and Peter Neilson, Annemarie's sister's about to be husband after the accident. the whole story takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark 1943.
