Does ichigo die in Tokyo mew mew?

In Tokyo Mew Mew Ichigo is in love with Masaya, and pledges to be his forever. Kishu, returns to his planet saying that if Ichigo was happy then it was alright that he lost. In the manga and anime it is never said if Ryou actually loved Ichigo, but he seems to not be offended by Ichigo's choosing of Masaya either. In the manga, he even helps plan Ichigo and Masaya's mock wedding through project "W".
