How did King Henry VIII secure the nobility of England for his actions?

i think Henry needed the support of the nobility in case got attacked by another catholic country, also he was extravagant on buying clothes, jewellery and buildings, so he needed money of them. sory if i got it wrong i'm only in year 8 :)
