How can I remove the Ryobi Expand-It trimmer head?

To remove the Ryobi Expand-It trimmer head, first turn off the trimmer and disconnect it from the power source. Then, press the release button on the trimmer head and twist it counterclockwise to unscrew it from the trimmer. Pull the trimmer head off once it is loose.
