What is nanggaling in English?

The Word "nanggaling" is in Tagalog or Filipino language (national language of the Philippines). In English language it's equivalent term would be "come from", or simply "the place where first something occur/happened".

Example sentence: "Saan ka nanggaling?" in English it'd be "Where have you been?".
