Who are the recipients of the Episcopal service cross?

They can be gifts or self purchased. Mine was received from my parish priest when I was sent to Vietnam. It finally wore thin and I had a casting made from some scrap gold I had. I still wear mine today. Even though it is called the ESC, it is non-denominational Christian. It was, I am told, designed by bthe wife of an Episcopal Bishop during WWI.
