What is the prison sentence for growing pot for personal use in Canada?

Sentences for drug production are governed by the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. As per s. 7 of the Act, the current sentence for the production of cannabis plants (regardless of the amount of plans grown) is up to seven years imprisonment. The Act does not distinguish between plants grown for the purpose of distribution, and those grown for personal use.
