How do I program my Lexus remote garage opener to the Craftsman garage door?

On my RX 350 and Craftsman opener I just pushed the memory button on the Craftsman opener briefly (the signal light came on next to the button) and

released it. Then I pressed the sender in my car within 30 seconds. It wasn't

long before the lights on the opener flashed and I then released the Lexus button.

Didn't have to hold anything down very long at all.
