What animal uses disguise to protect itself?

silver back snake ( disguises itself as dead , emitting smells to fool the hunter into believing its been dead for days , so it may move on.

that stick bug from bugs life, im not sure what its called but i know its a real insect and it poses as a twig to avoid danger.
