How is knee liposuction performed?

First it is done under either local or general anesthesia. Then the specialist makes a few small incisions behind the persons knee inserrting small cannula that suction fat. During the process the knee is usually bent but may be straightened and bent again to see the process is working correctly and the fat is being removed. Then the small incisions are stitched up. The knee is then bandaged up to reduce swelling and to help with the healing.
