What did the deer evolve from?

Deer originated from a common ancestor with all hoofed animals, the first primitive deer were found in Eurasia and quickly evolved and spread around the world on land bridges such as Beringia and like most other species, found their way around tightly clustered archipelagos such as Micronesia, Polynesia etc. until they reached mainlands such as the Americas and Africa.
