Where do tetras live?

Neon tetras (Paracheirodon innesi) Do not have babies, they lay eggs and the eggs are fertilised outside the body. They are notoriously hard to breed requiring semi darkness, very soft water and pH around 5.8 to 6 and a temperature of 80F.
