Can a dog get sick from eating a lighter?

I'm 10 so you don't have to listen to me but I've been practicing on being a good vet and if I were you I'd take your dog to an emergency animal hospital as soon as possible because if the dog did eat a lighter it can't digest that and it could burn the dog from the inside causing the dog extreme pain and that would lead to death.
