Junk food is bad for your body because it is just that--junk. Most junk food doesnt provide your body with any valuable nutrients, and just loads you up with sugar, empty calories, salt, and fat.

The empty calories (meaning calories that dont provide you with any nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, protein, etc) in junk food can cause you to gain weight.
Too much salt, which is often present in junk food, can cause your body to hold onto extra water. This raises your blood pressure and makes your heart have to work harder than it normally should. Too much salt can cause a bloated feeling, as well as cause swelling of the hands and feet.
Junk food is bad for your because it does not benefit the body in any way, and has ill effects to your system.
