How do you change the fuel pump in 98 dodge ram pickup?

first you run all the gas out of the fuel tank. then take off the fuel tank. the fuel pump is located inside the tank. replace. about 220 dollars

um.. is there some kinda lock on the lid on gas tank under the bed cause it wont come off an i dont wanna break it tryin to get it off??

don,t remove tank. remove bed bolts and jack it up like a dump bed to get to top of tank to remove pump.
