How do you repair my rev counter on my Vauxhall Corsa?

If it's an Isuzu engine diesel eg 1.5TD, check the alternator. On round pin plug type the green wire is the feed but it may be a dodgy alternator - common on these because they sit so low and get a lot of dirt in.
