Why are there fewer species of amphibians on Earth than any other type of vertebrate?

because being an amphibian is not the further end of evolution from water to land. becoz of it, an amphibian restricts itself from venturing further in land or further under water because he needs both of it to survive making his habitat limited. and also, most animals live within his habitat making him alway part of the food chain.
