Can dogs with human hair get fleas?

If your dog (or cat) is infested with fleas, it is possible that the adult fleas will bite any human that is in the vicinity. The fleas will not "infest" or stay on the person very long, as the dog or cat is the preferred host. If a pet owner is getting lots of flea bites, it usually means the pet and the environment are heavily infested. Eradicating a flea infestation can be very challenging and frustrating, consult your veterinarian.
