Are blue birds and blue jays the same?

i know a lot about birds and I'd say the most important/special part of a blue jay would be it's wings. Without it's wings blue jays wouldn't have made it this far in life. a blue jays wings serve them in many ways like, helping them escape from dangerous things or predators, helping them get to places Example: migrating over land and ocean to warmer places in the winter. helping them get up into high places to build a nest and have chicks away from most land predators.
